Biography for Bryan A. Alfaro
Bryan A. Alfaro
was born in Charleston, South Carolina. He graduated from Florida State
University in 1994. He worked as a police officer for the Town of Mount
Pleasant from 1995 until 2000, during which time he served as a Patrolman First
Class, Field Training Officer, and Corporal. He also was a member of the
department’s Crisis Negotiation Team and S.W.A.T team during his tenure. He
left the police department to attend law school and graduated from the
University of South Carolina School of Law in 2003. During law school he worked
as a law clerk for the Fifth Circuit Solicitor’s Office. In 2004, Bryan joined
the Ninth Circuit Solicitor’s Office as an Assistant Solicitor. He spent a year
working in the Charleston office’s Family Court Division, where his main focus
was prosecuting crimes involving firearms. In 2005, he began working in the
General Sessions Division. Bryan has prosecuted various types of cases,
including those involving drugs, armed robbery, and murder.
