Noah Moore Honored by LASCAVA

Ninth Circuit Director of Juvenile Diversion Programs, Noah Moore, was honored by the Low-country Affiliate of the South Carolina Association of Volunteer Administrators (LASCAVA) as Volunteer Administrator of the year for 2005.

Annually LASCAVA picks from among their peers in the field of Volunteer Administrators, a person who best exemplifies creativity, leadership and quality in their service. This year Moore was given that honor for his role in Juvenile Arbitration.

"I was surprised and honored.  It’s nice to be recognized by one's peers,” Moore said in an interview shortly after receiving the award.

An added surprise to Moore’s honor was that Juvenile Arbitration was selected by Governor Mark Sanford as Governor’s Volunteer Program of the year.

"We have a great group of volunteers and to be recognized by the Governor is an honor,” Moore said. “This recognition helps in recruiting high quality volunteers that want to be associated with a successful program."

Moore and Juvenile Arbitration were presented with their awards at the Governor Bennett House this past December during an awards banquet held by LASCAVA and Governor Sanford.

"We are planning on a volunteer Arbitrators class sometime in the summer or fall,” Moore said. “We will be increasing our number of Berkeley County cases and we have some specific areas and schools that we want to concentrate our efforts."
